Taking the missus out for a driving lesson the other week we came across this rare beauty, not a 911 but a 'poverty spec' 912 with the flat four engine. Apparently it's been sat here for sometime out in the open although there's a car cover lying on the ground in front of the car...

Poverty spec or no, what a waste
Gene.

Obviously got to much wedge to worry about it. Cant even be arsed to put the cover back on.

The cover has been off it for months now... been past several times recently, it's not even in a 'posh' or nice part of town either but I'd love to know what the story is with this rare beast (rare in the sense than no-one wanted poverty spec four pot Porkers back then!). One day I might pluck up the courage to knock on the door and ask...

They reckon the four pots handle better because they haven't got the extra weight of the bigger engine hanging out the back.

I nipped down to Margate with the missus for a day out yesterday. Had a good look around the Hornby Visitor Centre at the Hornby, Corgi, Airfix, and of course the Scalextric through the ages. Not a bad little place for an hour or so's wander.
Anyway, after that we went down the front, had a bite to eat at a hotel on the upper balcony overlooking the beach and caught some Sun, then had a wander along the front to find this Stag parked up along the sea wall:
It looked to be in fairly healthy condition and was just the car to drive with the good weather we had.
Sam.
