Here's the demolition of Little Barford Power station, featured in the train ride.
Earlier this month, Eggborough suffered a similar fate.
About 2 weeks ago - Ferrybridge (not featured in "Get Carter") went the same way too.

Fred Dibnah didn't need explosives, just a hammer and chisel, some old pallets and a match!

Just had a recap of this wonderful thread - top work Gene as always and the quality of the screen grabs is a real joy to behold. Bit of bonus trivia too - the Deltic which passes Jack's train near Tempsford is 9010 'The Queen's Own Scottish Borderer'. Those interested in 'Get Carter' might not be aware but there was some extra footage shot at Kings Cross station in July 1970 showing a class 47 (1507 or 1509 was the number I think) departing with a rake of Mk2 coaching stock, this was not used in the final cut though, probably because it was very slow paced and wouldn't have matched the title sequence, but it does appear in a compilation video / dvd called 'Diesels & Electrics On 35mm' from the John Huntley collection. Also featured in this collection is lots of footage shot for use in 'The Avengers', 'The Saint', 'The Champions' etc at various locations around the BR network, namely Luton, Watford Junction, Willesden, Wembley, Paddington and Saltford (near Bath). The BFI have done a 4K restoration of the film for relase on blu-ray with new commentaries and interviews and a book by Mark Kermode. Due for release on 25th July.
The film is also to be shown at cinemas across the UK from 27th May.
I recall rumours that the original film was to be shown at cinemas when the Stallone version was released, but as it flopped in the USA it wasn't shown at the cinema here so the idea of playing the original was shelved.

To borrow the famous line about the dartboard from Moxey in Auf W Pet, I haven't got a 4k tv though Not that you need one to play UHD discs, just a 4k disc player, though I've had my current tv for over 10 years so I've been looking at buying a new 4k UHD tv.
