It's sad to here that you can't make the Newcastle meet, Sam. Obviously, family come first, and we will be thinking of you this weekend. Take care Vi

Like everyone, I am sorry that you won't be with us Sam, but family comes first - especially at a time like this.
As Gene mentioned already, we will raise a glass to you & yours over the weekend.
Thinking of you & your family at this difficult time.

Thanks for all your kind words and messages, they really mean a lot both for me and my family.
It has been heartbreaking to witness the decline of a much-loved family member over the course of a number of months culminating in that horrible mixed emotion at the loss at their passing combined with the relief that their suffering is finally over. I know full well that we're not the first family to experience it and will not be the last but I wouldn't wish it on anyone and hope above all hopes that none of you have to go through similar.
Sam.

I'll leave this thread open until tomorrow evening so anyone who needs to post any information can do so. After that, the thread will be locked and a new Meet report thread created.
ALSO A REMINDER TO ALL ATTENDING THAT THE CLOCKS GO FORWARD THIS WEEKEND!
Wishing all members travelling up to Newcastle tomorrow a safe journey. See you there!

Looking forward to arriving in Tyneside tomorrow afternoon. I will be setting off for Newcastle at about 10:15 am tomorrow so I should arrive at The Quayside about 13:30.
According to Google maps it will take me just on three hours to get there.
I was hoping to leave earlier but due to circumstances, I'm leaving an hour later than I had planned.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Charles.
