Great video Gene Watching it makes me so glad that I'm on the forum. So glad I was at that meet. We had two terrific ones this year. Charles.

A thoroughly enjoyable weekend, great weather, great company and of course great locations to visit. If the locals thought the magnificent seven looked a bit rough i don't know what they made of this bunch........ Perhaps the Magnificent Twelve. Thanks to Gene for organising another great meet and Steve Austin for sorting out the meal in The Barley Mow, a super start to a weekend which just got better as it went on. Also cheers to Charles Bronson for his company in the motor and everyone else for making it a top weekend. Who was Oz? That’s hilarious Sounds like another amazing time was had by all! Slightly concerning that the work the boys started in ‘85 appears to still be going on

From the left you have:
John Steed, Windy Miller, Vienna (with 5p foot covering), Charles Bronson, Brown Granada, Del-Boy (Oz), Gene Hunt (with spirit level), Sam Tyler (with Newcastle Brown Ale), Dirty Epic (also with Newcastle Brown Ale), Carter, D.C. Burtonshaw, and Steve Austin - "a man barely alive".
As you can see it is very difficult to tell us apart from our namesakes.
Sam.

Aha! Nice to put faces to ... er ... pseudonyms! I mean it was obvious! Why were two of you sporting plastic bags?

But yes, that’s inspired, Del, I love it. I hope you donned the appropriate accent for the duration of the weekend (or perhaps 5 minutes)!

Why were two of you sporting plastic bags? Rather virulent Athlete's Foot. Which one caught it off the other we don't know but that's what you get when sharing a shower! Sam.

Okay then, you've got me bang to rights coppah, I'll spill the beans.
The walk down to Thornley Manor from the main road meant that we had to cut across a field that was known to be quite muddy. As Gene warned us before the meet that this was the case, the sensible ones amongst us had a change of shoes / boots whereas some of the lads only appear to possess one pair of shoes - hence the placky bags.
Vienna had a couple of spare bags with him because he'd left his litter tray back at the hotel.
Sam.

I did initially presume mud, but as Vienna (plethora of plastic bags notwithstanding) appeared to be sporting only one, I was somewhat thrown off the scent. I am thrilled to discover it’s neither a forum custom nor anything to do with the Masons . Thank you, Sam ... and not a single “women detectives” comment in sight. There is hope for you yet
