Thanks Sparky, enjoyed reading those amusing episode descriptions, 'what really lies behind luring plumpish girls and men to a strange health farm?', 'his sexy young assistant is provocatively alluring'. Something I've noticed about tv & film promotional material in general is the tabloid type language they tend to use, always with an emphasis on exploiting an angle of some kind.
'Visitor From The Grave' is called 'Visitor From The Other Side' in the episode descriptions.

'Visitor From The Grave' is called 'Visitor From The Other Side' in the episode descriptions. Arthur, I believe 'Visitor From the Other Side' was one of the first scripts scheduled to go into production originally, but it was later renamed and moved to the back as it was seen as one of the weaker stories in the series. Thanks for posting this interesting info. Sparks Vi

Going to have to get these in DVD.
I have one episode on 16mm film, though need to dig it out to see which episode it is. I picked this episode up at a Memorbilia Fair at the Birmingham NEC in 1992 - for £25. The same chap then told me he had a 16mm print of the Sweeney "Supersnout" for sale for £30.
So I asked him to keep hold of it while I got some more cash as I wanted that too.
While I was getting some more cash the bugger had sold it to someone else who had offered him £50.....

They're on blu ray as well Sparky.
Hard to believe it was October 2017 when I ordered the blu ray from Network & I still haven't watched every episode.

Only just managed to complete the Jack Rosentahal at ITV box set - I've had that nearly 5 years.

I would also like to see Network or another UK distributor release the 1984 series Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense on Blu-ray. There were some episodes available on YouTube a while back. The original DVDs are OOP. Vi

Have been going through a bit of HHoH rewatch of late, so great that there is a thread.
The location pics posted earlier I'm not seeing, either because my broadband is a bit slow, that they have been removed anyway, or that my current AWOL status forbids me from looking at them!
I pretty much like all of the episodes, but Growing Pains and The Mark Of Satan I really have no time for. The storyline of the former just didn't grip me at all, and I hated both child characters in it, and the latter because it also didn't keep me interested, and what an absolute sour face the lead character was throughout.
My fave ones are The Silent Scream (natch), Charlie Boy (there had to be a pay off reason why that otherwise anonymous white Mini had that yellow Duck on each door!) and Children Of The Full Moon (Diana Dors superb as the too friendly to be true wolf matriarch).
Interestingly back in the day, The House That Bled To Death seemed to be the standout episode, but nowadays albeit perfectly watchable, it's somewhat relegated to also in the series status. Obviously the pay off removes any sinsisterness once watched, and sadly just creates a lot of questions as to how it was logistically possible to happen in the first place.
And Visitor From The Grave. Nowadays far more hilarious in terms of some terrible acting (especially Gareth Thomas when in character is acting as the nowadays wouldn't be allowed Swarmi or whatever he was) and also for the somewhat surreal sight of the attempted rape by Howard from Ever Decreasing Circles on Sally Decker from Police Squad.

That's nothing to do with the AWOL status or your broadband, PP. That is a Village Photos issue which has caused numerous blanks on various threads sadly. In any case, I've removed your AWOL status for now GH.
