Just off the Missenden Road between Great Missenden and Chequers (the Prime Minister's country house) is the location used in the first episode of the series 'Witching Time'. Mary (Prunella Gee) arrives at Woodstock Farm... THEN NOW Vi

The village of Great Missenden was used for locations in several episodes during the series, including 'Charlie Boy' 'Rude Awakening' The Two Faces of Evil' and 'Carpathian Eagle'. On Aylesbury Road is Peter Picardo's house (not Peter Picard from this forum ) which featured in 'Charlie Boy' and is also a house my mum once worked in as a nanny in the late 1950s. It's now a prep school. THEN NOW Norman Shenley's estate agents from 'Rude Awakening' is on Station Approach... THEN NOW Great Missenden church was used for Clifford's funeral in 'Carpathian Eagle' THEN NOW Mrs Henska's house from 'Carpathian Eagle' is outside the village on London Road and is now part of the private Chiltern Hospital. I found this location myself recently but, sadly, I couldn't gain access to the front for a NOW photo. However, I have to make do with a photo of the back of the location for now THEN NOW (rear view) Vi

Wonderful stuff Vienna - and thanks for posting them up here for us all to enjoy As I've said before, HHoH is something I've considered doing for a Meet at some point in the future. Gene.

Great smudges Vi. Interesting that your mum once worked at the house. Bit of unrelated horror film trivia- my mum worked for a time at the hospital featured in 'The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue', Barnes Hospital in Cheadle.

Thanks Arthur She only found out about it recently when I showed her the photo and recognised the white house she once worked in. Interesting info. about your mum and the horror film location. Vi

Great piece of work there Detective Moggy, there'll be a large saucer of gold top for you at the next meet - just as long as Bagpuss doesn't try and nick it... Sam.
