I don't think he was (rather I hope he wasn't) long-term bed-bound after his hospital stay but I do recall him doing a good job of the opening credits.

It is annoying that his name escapes me but I think his avatar was one of the mustard yellow scenes from the end credits of The Sweeney, possibly the close-up of the wristwatch.

I remember the chap saying he was bored in hospital and so he filmed a panoramic view out the hospital window.
It was around the time i joined the old site so would have been 2010. 

Don't think i saw the finished article though with the names.
