Been really, really quiet on the forum the last several days.
Just noticed that Phillip Glenister is co-starring in a new "Alien" film that's just come out. It's good to see his career is progressing.
I don't really like modern American films much, but I will give this one a go in the near future because Phillip's in it.

I"ve only seen Aliens one and possibly two myself Dirty. The bit with John Hurt in Aliens 1 always sticks in your mind.

Sorry, it looks like I've definately got this one wrong. Phillip has done an Alien production with Anna Friel, but after a proper look, which I should have done in the first place. It seems to be an audio production they have done, rather than a film. Oh well! I'm sure they both will be good in it. Charles.

The one and only was on This Morning ... er, this morning. I presume this is all of it - I was obviously at work at the time and, whilst the idea of ducking under the desk to watch him live appealed, undoubtedly it wouldn’t have gone unnoticed. *need a sulking emoji*

Oh good God. I have to admit I've never heard of Public Enemy, but there we go. And it's on Sky Arts so I will probably never see it ... though that may be a good thing!

When I first watched Life on Mars with my parents they recognised Philip Glenister from Island At War which I’d never seen. They reminded me of this during lockdown so I bought the DVD: I like war time programmes anyway (at least when in a civilian setting, I’m not sure I’d enjoy anything set at the front line or anything!) and obviously I had to see what his German accent was like . I’ve been back to work over a month now which is mad but I’d forgotten I’d got this DVD and finally started watching a few nights ago. Didn’t say anything to my other half about why we were watching this particular series and he doesn’t make an appearance until well into the first episode “ahhh I understand why we are watching this now” was heard when he finally did appear on screen. I’ve got to say ... none of the main German cast are German and it shows! They’ve given them absolutely faultless scripts - there’s no weird word choices or broken English phrases and I think it’s unrealistic. Though admittedly not as unrealistic as their planes!! (I know it was 2004 and only ITV so should probably stop taking the Michael). But yes, it’s interesting viewing, especially as I think he was relatively unknown at this point, and of course Sam’s mum is there, too! I’ll take some pictures of them both at some point.
