Great idea for a meet Gene I'll sort out the accommodation tomorrow Vi Ring them ASAP mate as I checked online and the last single room is now gone (probably not but best not to take the risk mate). DE, thanks for the warning but Del has kindly offered to share a twin room with me so thanks to him for that. Gene, I'll be travelling by train, and as it's Birmingham will just buy train ticket on the day Sorted Vi

Hi all - Bad news and good news.
Bad news is that the single rooms are sold out at the Bingham Townhouse. Sheesh! I didn't expect them to sell out that quickly. But.... I have reserved a room at another hotel in Colston Bassett which is about 5 mile from where the Bingham is. Looks like I'll have to bring a car up - but no worries I can be a driver then! Even that hotel was rapidly running out of rooms too which is surprising unless some of our group are in that one too! I was a bit busy yesterday and this morning with one thing and another but hey at least I've got somewhere to stay now.
On the Saturday evening and of course Sunday morning I can of course drive up to meet up with you all as it would be a shame to miss the event, and if a room at a closer hotel comes up, I can always cancel this one and jump in another hotel quick. As I haven't paid for the room yet.
So I'm in and hotel reserved and one driver.

Thanks Gerry - Thanks Peter If anyone else struggles to get a room in The Bingham Townhouse there is one other alternative just a few miles up the road. The Vale Of Belvoir Inn & HotelI cannot vouch for the place as it has been a long time since I stayed there. I know it is a large hotel though so will probably have plenty of rooms. If anyone does stay in alternative digs then my suggestion would be to get a taxi to Bingham on the Saturday evening if they want a drink. STILL AWAITING INFO FROM CARTER REGARDS TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS AND HOTELGene.
