Flippin 'eck Arthur - this is dark stuff (not in a lighting / exposure way)
Never heard of this - the trailer is enough to give me the creeps.
Looks a good film though.
The style of the trailer reminds me of the Get Carter cinema trailer.
It also comes over in a similar way to some of the Italian 'Giallo' films of the time. A number of '70s low budget British films have a certain 'feel' to them, they're often shot in the Autumn and Winter months with excellent cinematography (despite the low budgets), a couple of films featuring Martin Potter are like this, 'Satan's Slave' springs to mind. Whatever happened to him I wonder...? Villain Don’t know, but I do know what his brother Harry has been up to. And I don’t mean that ginger traitor.

Really make my afternoon and let's have the "Follyfoot" lyrics!
"something....something....the lightning tree...something something....you and me" (I really should know this!) Your wish etc etc...
Down in the meadow where the wind blows free, in the middle of a field stands a lightning tree. It's limbs all torn from the day it was born for the tree was born in a thunderstorm.
CHORUS:
Grow, grow, the lightning tree, it's never too late for you and me;
Grow, grow, the lightning tree, never give in too easily.
Down in the meadow where the wind blows light, the lightning struck in the middle of the night.
Limbs stripped bare by the lightning flare the lightning flare was a wild affair.
CHORUS
Down in the meadow where the wind blows cold, the lightning tree stands stiff and old.
Branches bent when the lightning rent the lightning rent from the firmament.
CHORUS
Down in the meadow with the wind in the west, the lightning tree faced up to the test.
Its heart went snap when it took the rap, the terrible rap of the thunder clap.
CHORUS
Down in the meadow when the wind blows free, a whispering breeze in the lightning tree.
Dreams come true if you want them to if you want them to, then it's up to you.
CHORUS (2X)

I recently watched episode three of Fox
It's the one where Kenny has his boxing match - and Phil, the clever brother, decides to give it a miss so he can attend a lecture
It's a great episode
Both Kenny and Phil start to react to traditional family pressure in different ways, but there are parallels too
I'm really enjoying it. Even the songs at the start of every episode.

I watched a couple more episodes tonight....
Shim-Me-Sha-Wobbble - episode 5
Stick or Twist - episode 6
...both deal with the aftermath of Kenny's fight
Stick or Twist is especially good. A couple of chancers extort £500 to discover Kenny's whereabouts
Ray Fox tracks them down and takes revenge
Classic stuff
Could anyone who knows the series tell me which seaside resort Kenny ends up in?
It looks like Kent - maybe partly filmed in Ramsgate? Possibly Herne Bay? But I couldn't identify any conclusive landmarks

IMDB says Herne Bay but I can't place anything there either after a quick look around.

Ordered the DVD last week and it's only just arrived. So will have to binge watch!

Great news Sparky
I hope you like it - I'm confident you will
I'm really enjoying it
Not quite up there with Out (1978) (so far) but then that's the Trevor Preston highwater mark - so what is?
Fox (1980) is still a stunning drama though. Terrific writing and with a top notch cast.

I did enjoy "Out" - great Trevor Preston penned series!
Talking of Euston Films - does anyone remember "Capitol City" from the late 1980s? I think it was that and Minder that were the last things they made.
Euston are back in business today - there are two branches "Euston Film North" and "Euston Films" - I think owned by the BBC. They had a hand in "Luther".
Sadly - I don't think they'll be a patch on their predecessors.

I recognised it immediately as Margate from the opening scene: The same view today from >>> Google Streetview <<<Del-boy should also recognise it from the Jolly Boys Outing (scan to the left to see the big wheel from the funfair) and his stay at Mrs Cresswell's Villa Bella. Annie and I went there back in 2015 and I recall seeing a Triumph Stag around to the right of the above view. I'd posted it in the classic car spotting thread >>> HERE <<<Sam
