I ate 6 in one go once and felt a bit queasy so washed them down with 18 pints. I threw up all over the gaff so yes, too many creme eggs do make you puke. A bit like Sam after a night out with Marc Almond. I can eat them until they're coming out of my ears. Battenberg too, I can just eat that slice, after slice after slice. Battenburg ..... yum now you're talking.

Another favourite of mine was Rollos. My mother used to buy me a pack every week with the Dandy and The Beano. I think they are still going, but I bet they don't taste as good these days.

They are still around Charlie I had some not so long ago. I don't think they have been shrunk either. I used to buy a lot of Toffos back in the day. I think they have gone now.

This thread has reminded me of all the different types of biscuits I'd have regularly as a youngster- Viscounts, Trio, Blue Riband, Taxi, Yo Yos, 54321, etc. Not had any of these for 20 years probably. One of my favourites was a Dundee biscuit, these oversized chocolate covered biscuits came in a pack of 5, I can't find any pictures of them. Another thing I did regularly was buy cakes from the local bakers- traffic lights, vanilla slices, rum truffles, cream crisp. I'd often bunk off school & in the afternoon go to the chippy, get a few cakes & come home & watch afternoon tv. What a life, eh?

My dad used to work for a mobile bakers, delivering to local villages etc. One day I got into the van and spent so long choosing what cake to pinch that I didn't hear him come in. Needless to say I didn't get one. I used to love the smell of that van. This thread has given me the munchies sooo bad

We used to get those whenever we went to the pictures (movies as you may know it), never used to see them anywhere else back then.

Who remembers Mintola? They were a bit like Munchies but with a peppermint centre I think and dark chocolate, same size and style sweet and pack.
And what about Caramac? Tasted lovely (Caramel bar with the texture of a chocolate bar) but more sweeter, wouldn't want to eat a lot of it.

Upmarket chocs Mintolas, I imagine them in a posh lady's handbag. Caramacs were nice but a bit sickly ( I found Milky bars the same ) & the brown colour of them was a bit unappealing.
Texan is another favourite that's gone.
