Out for a walk today and I spotted this Jag nothing exciting there but the tyres I've never seen the likes of before Thoughts please ? It's all a question of taste, something the owner appears to be sadly lacking. Me? I think it looks Sam

It's a bit like the car equivalent of red/blue/green etc. football boots, it doesn't work!

The only other motor I can remember having red tyres is the Trumpton Fire Engine

I can remember Dunlop Red Arrow motorbike tyres back in the late 70's that had a narrow stripe around the tyre but that's about it: Sam.

I'm not convinced by that look...!!!
Having said that it's a case of 'you pays your money and you takes your choice'!
It's all a matter of taste I suppose...

Never seen red stripe tyres before, not keen.
There was a brief fad on white stripes on them in about 79/80. They were usually painted and as soon as one scraped a kerb it would be rubbed off and look a mess.

I remember the fad for tyres with a white painted script on them (Goodyear Eagle GT for example) but as for the lines around the diameter they should just be reserved for Rolls Royces and the like!!!
The only time I want to see a redline on a wheel is if I'm holding an original 'sweet 16' Hot Wheels toy!
