Good little write up. Seems the two actors were best pals in 78

Good post there Aurthur - it's interesting that the schedule doesn't say which episode was being shown, I know that the running order was difficult to confirm for the production crew at the time, as mentioned in Andrew Pixley's excellent books that come with the DVDs. I haven't got my sets to hand at the moment but I think the episode might have been 'The Female Factor', one the best of series one. Villain

TV Times Jan 7th 1978 edition Interesting to note that series 1 of The Professionals would not be a 13-part series as the episode 'Klansmen' was deemed far too ripe to show on television and it got canned before transmission...

Thanks for the upload Arthur, very interesting and not read that article before. Looking at the user rating for the 1st series of The Professionals, on IMDB viewers have rated the best episode as "Close Quarters" and the least favourite as "Look After Annie".

Thanks for sharing those...
I especially like that picture of the camera mounted on the bonnet of the Granada, I think that is from the superb episode 'The Rack' from series 2 (the opening scenes where the Coogan house is raided by CI5).
The first picture is very interesting to me also... I know that Murphy (Steve Alder) was added to the mix to try and see where CI5 could go if either Bodie and/or Doyle were no longer in the organisation (both Lewis Collins and Martin Shaw were keen to move on by the 3rd series so I believe??) but it just didn't work.
There could be no CI5 if there was no Bodie or Doyle!!!

Great photos Villain, thanks for sharing.
Is that Peter Brayham on the bonnet of the Granada in the final photo?
