Might sound like sacrilege but is US version of LoM worth getting? Saw an ep ages ago on Fox and didn't mind it but not seen the rest. I like Harvey Keitel & Michael Imperioli (Sopranos) so wondered if it was up to scratch as per their usual work?

I'd stick with our version DE

Not seen it myself but I can just imagine it now.... ''Ok wise guy, it's 1973, bagel time, I'm havin' eggs over easy with anchovies already, and go easy on the mayo...'' Not quite the same is it...? Villain

What will they do for the Camberwick Green sequence?
"Is it that Gene Hunt? Is he kicking in a nonce?" How would that translate?
Whatever you do, don't waste your Wonga DE. I made the mistake of switching to the first episode once, thinking it was a re-run of the proper version. The script was identical at that point "Where's my PC Terminal?" ... "PC who?" but it was just too painful to watch. Keitel is not Glenister, there's no comparison.
To be perfectly honest your money would be far better invested by buying me and Gene a pint of Guinness.

I might watch a few episodes over the holidays. My local dvd shop has them. I only discovered this when I was hoping to borrow series 2 of LOM after having bought and loved series one and was most disappointed to find they only had the USA version in store. I bought LOM series 2 to keep. IMO it can't equal the English shows but I'd be interested to see if they change any of it for their audience. I'd be curious to know if forum members prefer LOM or A2A. I enjoyed both series thoroughly but LOM was a clear winner to me even if it is just on the basis of the surprise aspect in not having a clue what was really going on with Sam until the end !

No clear winner between LOM & A2A for me Batgirl. I love them equally. Though I suspect that LOM will win if put to the vote.
