Rab C Nesbitt & Burnistoun are also very, very funny. Have you seen those too?

Someone beat me to it on this. I really like Still Game and glad I got all the series on DVD in 2014. With it’s roots coming from the BBC Scotland show Chewin’ The Fat the portrayal of OAP's Jack and Victor by Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill is spot who refuse to old gracefully on Glasgow’s fictitious housing scheme of ‘Craigland’. The supporting cast in Still Game are very good too. From Jane McCarry’s nosey old busybody Isa who likes being ‘in’ on all the local gossip – and in my opinion is frighteningly realistic, to Paul Riley’s Winston who is the perfect foil for McCarry’s Isa, gets into some crazy scrapes and situations and delivers some the best quips throughout the series. These are mostly directed at Gavin Mitchell’s ‘Boaby’ the barman of The Klansman the local of the residents on the estate and one of the few characters who isn’t (as such) portraying a OAP. There’s also Mark Cox as the tight-fisted Tam and the late Jake D’Arcy as ‘Pete the Jakey’ who have some very funny moments too but one of the standout’s is Sanjeev Kohli as Navid the shopkeeper on the estate. Navid’s Scottish-Indian accent is hilarious as are his acid tongued remarks to his wife Mena – who’s face is always hidden. Hilarious. I feel that Still Game is up there with Rab C. Nesbitt and Naked Video which are considered classics of Scottish TV comedy. Kiernan and Hemphill’s writing is spot on and would fully recommend it to anyone on the forum. Also don’t be put off by the humour and dialect being more suited to Glaswegian and Scottish audiences as in my opinion it’s not vastly different from the Irish humour seen in Father Ted/Mrs Browns Boys or the Cockney Rhyming Slang in Fool’s and Horses etc. and glad the BBC gave it a wider audience on BBC2 in the mid 2000’s and a shame I couldn’t do their live show at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro recently. That said I’m not sure I’d like them to make another series as with Rab C. Nesbitt, Auf Pet and many other things which come back after a long break (the last Still Game series was in 2007) they are never as good or the same. Would like to get Chewin’ The Fat on DVD too but locating the full series is… and also why aren’t Naked Video’s series 5-6 on DVD either? Here's a few clips. Disclaimer some 15+ language/themes in these clips.

Indeed cheers DE. The only thing i've seen of this series is a few clip Dirty Epic posted before this thread. It looks quite good and i'm annoyed that i missed it when it was shown.

Thanks lads Like you Del was a bit miffed I missed it and Chewin the Fat first time round but glad I caught a few in 2006 & got hooked since May not be everyone's cup of tea but I'd say it's as good (I'd say better) Naked Video/Rab & if you like them should like this too ;)
Also hope to see its locations in Maryhill/Townhead one day too.
