I'll be setting a recording for this and shame I didn't have more time to have maybe planned this in with my recent trip to Singapore etc. Yeah kind of sad about Ford's ending of Australian production too Batgirl and the demise of the Falcon too. I had a XR8 hire car in 2007 and it was a great beast although didn't really push it that much... Mondeo's are alright but not sure it's going to win over the Australian market as much and the Falcon did and it was the last real full size RHD Ford too. It'll be interesting what GM/Holden do with their Comodore and HSV range's when they stop production in Aus too. Reckon they'll be RHD versions of Chevrolet/Buick models and more than likely Far East products too. Kind of feels the same to me as when Ford ended UK vehicle production but suppose the accountants are happy etc. I didn't really see Peter Brock in action but know about his legend and will look out for this programme on YouTube etc. As for the V8 season ATM seems the Holden 888 Red Bull team are the main pacesetters at the moment with Ford/Prodrive a bit off the pace/off sorts but there's been a fair few different winners this season (like in the UK's BTCC) so at least no processional races. If 888 do do it hope Shane Van Gisbergen gets it over Jamie Whincup. Don't dislike either driver but be nice for SVG to have a first title.

Watched the season review on Motors TV over the last few days as missed a few of the live races towards the tail end of the season. Saw some good action at Winton, Bathurst, Gold Coast and Sydney and overall the season has been a bit more unpredictable than F1 with more race winners, overtaking and action (Fabian Coulthard/Garth Tander's horror smash) too! Didn't know who the champion was until watching this but glad Shane Van Gisbergen got his first title over Jamie Whincup but both have been the class of the field this year. Surprised the Ford teams Prodrive, djr team Penske etc. didn't seem at the same level of Holden this year too considering Prodrive dominated much of the season in 2015 and be interesting to see what cars, manufacturers and even V8's will feature next season. I'll be tuning in for sure.

Bummer BT Sport aren't showing this and Motors TV's only on Sky and Virgin now so didn't see the races... Will have to try and catch up online and as when. Shame enjoyed the battles between SvG, Whincup, Lowndes, Winterbottom etc.
