RIP Mark. Today, It's My Life, & Life's What You Make It are a few of the finest tunes of the β80s. Thank you for the music.

Sad news Annie and I hadn't long been married when It's My Life was released. We both really liked it and to hear it now takes me back to those days (much more so than the dreadful cover version!) R.I.P. Mark

It's amazing how music can transport you, so completely, to the past

RIP Mark, discovered a lot of the Talk Talk stuff when they re-released/remixed a lot of their stuff around 1990 and the likes of It's My Life etc. charted again. Maybe not a band which were mega-successful but one I rate highly and much of their stuff has stood the test of time well.
Thanks Mark for your contributions to music.

American band No Doubt (Gwen Steffani) did the cover in 2003. I'm indifferent to it but not a patch on the original.

A bit shocked to see Keith Flint of The Prodigy has died today aged 49.
www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-47442312
Suppose it might have been something to do with the life Keith lived and for many people on here Prodigy's music was like marmite - either loved or hated. You can't deny the impact these guys had on the music scene in the 1990's which for me (most of the time) was interesting and raw and they had a raw energy and brazen-ness to shake things up and do things their own way. Only ever saw them once in 1992 and luckily enough met Keith and they boys outside when queuing up for the gig - shame I never saw them again (should have done!) but always preferred them more as the Rave/Jungle act they burst onto the scene as rather than the mashed up electronic/heavy rock/indie-kid style that they morphed into around the time of Firestarter and Breathe. Although I did quite like a lot of Prodigy's more recent stuff.
RIP Keith thanks for the memories and music you and the lads made. Maybe I'll break a few of their tracks out today!

Devastating news. Charly, Firestarter and Out Of Space are some of the best records The Prodigy produced. Keith literally was 90's dance music in some respects.
