RIP Lemmy, was only diagnosed with Cancer on Boxing Day and seems to have got him very quickly. At least he lived to the full and made some very good rock records along the way too.

Really sad news,I have seen Motorhead quite a few times and was lucky enough to have met him twice. He was such a nice guy and liked to talk about music. He also loved the fruit machines and would be happy to stand there all night long feeding his money into them.We have lost one of the all time greats who stuck to his guns and lived the life.RIP LEMMY.

Yes, despite his image he seemed to be a down to earth, quiet man who valued basic things like politeness & when not touring lived very modestly in a crampt apartment where apparently he spent most of his time playing video games. Also a fan of PG Wodehouse & 'Ever Decreasing Circles'! He'd had health problems for a few years but it seems the end came very abruptly, not that he could ever complain after a life spent living fast. His bandmates must be feeling it most, without Lemmy there can be no more Motorhead. RIP

RIP Lemmy and John Bradbury - heard about Lemmy via the Faceache but didn't know about Brad - saw The Specials only in 2011 at Coventry.

A Classic Rock n Roll Front Man in every sense of the word. The mould got broke when Lemmy was born. Hell raising lead singer of Motorhead and bassist in Hawkwind, who was well known for his hard living lifestyle and consumption of alcohol and amphetamines. My Mother-In-Law met him at a wedding and said he was actually a true gentleman and very polite with everyone. RIP Ian Fraser "Lemmy" Kilmister (24 December 1945 – 28 December 2015)
