I could hardly choose Bob's Viva could I ?
There are three TV cars I love. The Granada from The Sweeney and the two the Guv drives... The Cortina & the Audi Quattro.

I'd have to add a few others to my list... The Saint's fantastic Volvo P1800s, Roger Moore loved them so much he had one as his own personal transport when filming the series back in the '60s. Also have a soft spot for the Mexico Brown Rover 2000 Auto Doyle used in the first filmed episode of 'The Professionals' ('Old Dog New Tricks'), it was also used in 'Sweeney 2'.
Steed's Jag XJC from 'The NewAvengers'gets a mention for me too, done up like a Broadspeed racer with massive flared arches, it was a proper '70s TV motor!

Yes Tyne Tees, BL cars did get a reputation for poor quality although they did produce some quite stylish motors too, the Jaguars and MGs for instance. Another sporty model was the Triumph Spitfire as driven by Rigsby in a great episode of Rising Damp called Clunk Click. It was also used by Dynamo Digby in the Grimleys, a good series which sadly never seems to get repeated.

Morse. I expect to see that car every time I go to Oxford. That's a lovely pic Windy. Thanks for posting. I've never watched 'Inspector Morse' but John Thaw looks quite happy with the Jag.

Yes I agree the Jaguar does suit John Thaw; they look well together. Just a shame he didn't spend that long actually driving it as opposed to being towed along or pushed in it! Other possibilities for me would be Genes Cortina though it doesn't seem to be fairing that well now from I hear; definitely an icon in TV motors though. I also like the Consul GT & Granada coupe used in 'Brannigan'. Seeing the late great John Wayne in the Consul always brought a smile to my face; only ever knew him as a cowboy until then from watching films with my Dad. The Granada coupe NHK 293M sticks in my mind as up until then I don't think I'd ever seen a coupe Granada; sadly stolen in the late seventies or early eighties I think so long gone. It also appears in a few press shots that Ford released as well which is fairly unique as I think Ford kept the two sides apart so cars didn't cross over.

The ultimate for me would be a garage holding both Bodie's Strato Silver Capri 3.0S, VHK 495S or UOO 303T/COO 251T and Doyle's matching Solar Gold example, OAR 576W.
But there would have to be room for Herbie, Morse's Jag and probably James Bond's Bentley from the original novels: battleship grey with a two-seat body and Amherst Villiers supercharger.

The Lotus from 'The Spy Who Loved Me',that's a cool car.I suppose any motor that can double as a submarine is worthy of a mention.Arfurs Daimler was lovely, and if it was cleaned up,Bill Maynards' Rover from 'The Gaffer'.
