I agree Virgil Tracy though I thought you may have favoured Thunderbird 2 as your favourite tv vehicle. That's a difficult one Batgirl, because International Rescue and Thunderbird 2 don't start operating until the year 2065 so I can't claim that one yet.

The picture of the Golf masquerading as the Starsky and Hutch car made me laugh as there was a guy on our estate in the early eighties who painted the white stripe on his red Marina coupe.
As for cool tv cars there are so many to choose from, but what about Steed's Broadspeed XJ12 from the New Avengers.

A schoolmate's brother also did the same with his Marina Coupe in those years.

A Marina Coupe is the wrong one to put the stripe on I would think. It might look alright on a MkIII Cortina or A FD or FE Victor

Starsky and Hutch's Torino, The Sweeney Granada, Gene's Cortina are my top 3.
PS I remember seeing a Marina coupe with the stripe in the late 70s too! Also one on an HB Viva.

TV motors........responsible for so much money being frittered away !! ;). Think for me it's the gold 3.0 Ghia Granada from The Sweeney.........what a motor !! ;)

The Marina as a whole has become maligned since as epitomising the bad side of British Leyland. But at the time it was a popular car/van, probably no better or worse than anything else.
The Marina Coupe could look the part in that period. It was a still a time when you bought what you could afford, and within this the Coupe gave a bit of style.

Fav TV motor, is a difficult one, but the Silver 3.0S MK1 Granada in The Sweeney, NWC301P is rather smart along with its sister car, white MK3 Cotina GT NWC300P.
Other fav's are Brett Sinclairs Bahama Yellow Aston, Gene's bronze Cortina in LOM and Doyle's RS2000 in The Professionals!
