What I love about this episode are the exchanges between R & C, especially at the beginning when they are at the train station and when they make their first armed entrance and George says, "Guv, the bed hasn't been made. I think it's something to do with a dead body".
They also used soundbites from Sweeney 2 near the end when that henchman is hit with the flare gun. Both were written by Troy Kennedy Martin.

Yes, I agree KD, its a funny but tough episode. In fact ITV4 edited out the full effect of the flare gun.

Maybe they should have made this as a 3rd Sweeney movie. There was a lot of humour particularly of the non-PC kind mixed in with the more harder, serious stuff. On the big screen, it could have had more action with a sub-plot where Regan and Carter go after those antiques museum thieves. Also think this episode needed Mark McManus as the Mr. Big.
