It has quite a few weak points in it but I like it. The way John Hurt gets his bird back on side on the quick is farcial but there are some good bits about this episode. The whole theme of revenge against Cole's devious character I empathise with and I like the early computer technology on show here. The way Grey pulls the scam off with the front computer classes and does a bunk at the end thwarting Regan and Carter Is a good ending. I find myself wanting Grey to get away with it .

I don't dislike this episode. It was a pointer to the future, anticipating the rise of cyber crime and was something a bit outside the squad's usual area.

The plot of this episode isn't too bad and I certainly like George Cole in it. However, I do struggle to watch it because I can't abide John Hurt in it. As Gene mentioned earlier, Hurt does overact his role which really gets on my thruppennies. Consequently I tend to bypass this episode in favour of many others.
I've probably watched it five or six times now and have still felt that irritation by Hurt every time.
Sam.

I agree, it is quite a weak episode, not helped by the overacting and theatricals from John Hurt. A nice early pairing of George Cole & Dennis Waterman though. Gene. Yeah, an alien bursting from his chest couldn't have happened to a nicer man! A bit less Shakespeare young Hurt and a bit more street wise acting.

I thought this was pretty good too and for the same reasons as Del Boy especially the early computer technology. None of us could have guessed we'd be discussing old Sweeney episodes on a massive global network just 40 odd years later
John Hurt is a bit miscast though
