This one is actually my favourite episode. The plot doesn't make a huge amount of sense but I just liked it.

I love the episode. It has comedic elements and serious stuff too. The bit where Jack reverses up his street and then has a brawl with another bloke is great. Nadim Sawalha is good in this too.

I liked it as well.
It had a bit of 'The Pros' about it, but no matter. The show needs a variety of plots.
The song & dance routine was one of R & C's best comedy moments. I like the throwaway line "We'll stitch up Haskins...."

TV Times listing September 18th 1976 Repeat showing on Nov 16th 1978, shown during series 4 ( the week after One Of Your Own & week before Hearts And Minds ). Anyone know why it was repeated?

Search me . Its very strange why they did that ... Three episodes from series 3 were repeated towards the end of series 4. If you look at the series 4 broadcast dates on imdb you'll see that there's a two week gap between certain episodes near the end of the series, that's when the repeats were shown. I've got the book 'Made For Television Euston Films Ltd' & it lists the broadcast dates of each series, the repeats were Tomorrow Man, Visiting Fireman & Selected Target. They also repeated Night Out & Jackpot during series 3. No repeats during series 2 ( or series 1 ) It doesn't say why they included these repeats, could've been to do with the industrial action that was taking place during those years. So, next time you do a Sweeney marathon & decide to watch every single episode as originally broadcast, don't forget to include the repeats!
