A few interesting results yesterday, Man Us troubles continue with another defeat, to Palace, City losing to Wolves, and what about Villa v Brighton? Would never have predicted that one, also Luton beating Everton.
I went to a game myself, Stockport away at Accrington, which was a 3-1 win for County, who are now on a four match winning streak. A new ground added to my list too.
Out of interest, which grounds have any fans on here been to?
My list is :
Bury Rochdale Stockport County Bolton, the new one, never went to Burnden Park Wigan, again, their new one Macclesfield Crewe Salford Accrington Man United Man City, Maine Road, not been to their new one Brighton, The Goldstone Ground, not their current one Ipswich And a couple of non league, Radcliffe Borough, Wythenshawe, and Altrincham

VAR which was brought in to stop contentious issues, has now contrived to make the situation worse The VAR's have all the video's needed to make an informed decision but still get it wrong, how is this possible An impressive list there Cartman, I have only been to a few in comparison: Sunderland, Stadium Of Light Manchester City, Maine Road (for an Oasis gig) Hearts, Tynecastle Coventry City, Highfield Road & Ricoh Arena Wembley Stadium Blackburn Rovers, Ewood Park Watford, Vicarage Road Leicester City, King Power Stadium West Bromwich Albion, The Hawthorns MK Dons, National Hockey Stadium & Stadium MK Berwick Rangers, Sheilfield Park

Interesting list there Steve, the only one on it I have been to is Maine Road. I love the old grounds, they have individuality, the modern ones are sterile, samey and charachterless, and have horrible corporate names.

I forgot Arsenal, both Highbury & The Emirates. With rgeards to stadium names, The Stadium Of Light was built on an old mine and miners used Davy Lamps to illuminate their way around, hence the name. The old grounds may have more character but on my one visit to Highbuty, the roof supports restricted my view, at least at modern grounds there are no "Restricted View".

Did you sit or stand in the away end on your Highbury visit Steven ? I have been to the following: Arsenal- Highbury The Emirates Old Wembley - Empire Stadium New Wembley West Ham - Upton Park (Boleyn Ground) Charlton - The Valley Crystal Palace - Selhurst Park Millwall - The Den Leyton Orient Barcelona - Camp Nou Out of all of those, I regularly visited The Den in the late 80s when Arsenal were away as my friend worked part time for them, so got free tickets. It was the most rundown of them all on the above list, ancient, poor facilities but despite this it was the best atmosphere per amount of people. Very intimidating place with approximately 15000 in it. The intimidation seemed to help the team gain unlikely results in their first Div 1 season. Having Sheringham, Cascarino and midfield enforcer Terry Hurlock in the team did play its part mind

I've also been in the North Stand as a neutal which gave a great view.

Oh yes I know the West Stand. Built in the 1930s it was the finest in the country at the time. They were redeveloped into flats as the stands are grade 2 listed.

I've got nearly all the Manchester area ones, apart from Oldham, for some reason I never got there. I bet The Den is a bit of a scary place to visit, the only time I ever saw aggro at Bury was against Millwall. It was in the FA cup 3rd round in 75, Bury were in the third division, Millwall were in the second, and they were winning 2-1 with a few minutes to go when Bury grabbed a late equaliser, so the Millwall fans invaded the pitch! The game finished 2-2, Bury then won the replay😀

Good ole Hackney Marshes. Back in my playing days when you played on one of the pitches you would often see teams start a game only to find out they're on the wrong pitch and have to stop and move the whole lot after lively debate Another trick over there was when tired and under pressure ( mostly caused by self inflicted hangovers ) punt the ball out of play hard to get a minute or so rest as the ball would go over someone else's pitch mid-game.
