Sad to report the death of former actor George Armstrong aged 60 after a long battle with Leukaemia.
He was best known for the part of Alan Humphries in Grange Hill.
RIP George Armstrong.

Kids in the 70s and 80s grew up watching George's character Alan, getting up to mischief with Tucker and Co in Grange Hill. Sad news, 60 really is far too young.
RIP George

Such sad news. I know George had been ill for a while but it's still a shock. We met George a few years ago (ST, Del) and he was so friendly. One of the lads. R.I.P George.

Truly saddened to hear this. I loved Grange Hill and the antics he got up to with Tucker and co and also was a big fan of Tuckers Luck. He was a great supporting actor in his role of Alan. Rip George.

Sad news. Grange Hill was ground breaking and the realistic performances of George and his fellow cast members helped to make it a dearly loved series.
RIP

Sad news indeed. Not that I watched Grange Hill or Tucker's Luck but I knew of George and his roles, and to be taken at just 60 years of age is very sad. R.I.P. George

Sad news about George Armstrong I loved watching Grange Hill in the late 70s and early 80s, and its spin-off Tucker's Luck. RIP George
