A somewhat more productive drive today https://www.instagram.com/p/CjfhQflD9K0 1988 XJS 5.3 https://www.instagram.com/p/CjfhTbdDFOA 1976 MGB https://www.instagram.com/p/CjfhVvTjlKQ And while the MGB was coming the other way, I was behind these two https://www.instagram.com/p/CjfhX-6DR0k If anyone is from Northfleet and was around in the 70s, then they may remember these. SMA8, a London Country 1972 AEC Swift. Still getting out and about in preservation. https://www.instagram.com/p/CjfhaPfD-Bx Slightly more modern flavour with this 1989 Escort Mk4. According to the DVLA it's a 1300 so has been made to look like it's packing something more beefier! https://www.instagram.com/p/Cjfhc3zjoAH Not far behind the Escort was this 1977 Chevy. And, remember the two geriatrics I was behind earlier? https://www.instagram.com/p/CjfhfQ0Dlhr Well, they went off in a different direction to me, only to come back the other way later! Unfortunately the shadows in this area affected the focusing a bit, but as a quiz throw-out, anyone want to identify this? https://www.instagram.com/p/CjfhhppDO4w And this? I have looked them up on the DVLA, so I do know what they are (assuming the DVLA is correct!), but who can ID them?

The bottom two are a Triumph 1800 roadster and a Sunbeam Talbot 90, both late 40s/early 50s

I get the feeling there was no hesitation with that response Cartman! According to the DVLA they are a 1949 Triumph 20TR (the open one) and a 1951 Sunbeam Sports Saloon (closed one). Dunno if they're the same as what you've said in a different form, or if there are subtle differences, but I would say pretty much spot on No prize I'm afraid. But it's the taking part what matters!

They look interesting PP! The Jaguar XJS looks like it has the TWR kit, popular then. The nicely preserved AEC Swift bus has Alexander bodywork by the former Walter Alexander Coachbuilders of Falkirk Scotland who were around from 1913 to 2000 by which time they were bought by the Mayflower Corporation plc and nowadays are part of Alexander Dennis of Larbert Scotland.
The Bergerac (there I've said it!) Triumph Roadster and Sunbeam Talbot are lovely sights!

Absolutely Gerry. The bus was the highlight for me of the spots. Makes a change from the usual Routemasters and RTs that run along that road in conjunction with the Epping Ongar Railway. I don't know if the Swift was connected with that or mere coincidence, but was a great sight.
Many thanks Albert. It's going to be an inconsistent thread, and probably more so as we head to winter and the enthusiasts put their old girls away till the next Spring/Summer, but hoping that things will still pop up.

...don't know what the open tourer is, Humber? Armstrong Siddeley? Looks like we've found your cut-off point, Cartman! No, neither of those I'm afraid. (As long as the DVLA isn't lying to me!) I'll reveal all tomorrow.
