The music used for Regan always reminds me of Roy Budds theme to Get Carter It always puts me in mind of Edwin Astleys' theme for "Randall & Hopkirk, Deceased". Yes - the Regan opening always (to me) had a bit of a 60s ITC produced feel about it too.

I won't post it as it's not really on topic but I noticed a video on yt of Cy Payne going for a ride in a Spitfire for his 80th birthday.

Really getting the sounds of R&H deceased - I can hear a bit of Tales from the Unexpected in there too... then again it could be any other 1970's lift music!

Having a slow lazy morning supposed to be doing some work from home, listened to the IKM interview and noted that Regan's original name was Mclean - but they checked with Scotland Yard to make sure there wasn't already a serving policeman named McLean -and there was so hence the name change.
Jack Mclean, doesn't have the same ring does it?

Jack Mclean, doesn't have the same ring does it? It could have ended up as John McLane and that would have started a whole new series... "Yippee-ki-yay muddy-funster, you're nicked!" Sam.

A location spot in The Bill, S20 Ep71 - "What Goes Around...."
PC's Kerry Young and Yvonne Hemingway walk past The Old Justice on foot patrol before getting a call about a dead body washed up on the mud flats across from the pub. What a coincidence.
BTW, a "Home Cooked Sunday Lunch" is £7.50, according to the pub's sandwich board.

That would be around 2004? Korean Kim kept the pub back then so that "home cooked" description roughly translates as "boil in the bag". Still... they did keep a good drop of Guinness. Right Sam? Gene.

Damn right! It was a mix of Fray Bentos and 'Boil in the bag' but the Guinness somehow made it more palatable. It has to be said that the accompanying tinkling on the ivories added to the atmosphere as well. Sam.
