It's been reported that the writer of this episode, Robert Banks Stewart, has died aged 84. He was perhaps better known for the creation of TV shows Shoestring and Bergerac.

Yeah,I like 'Contact Breaker'.I think Warren Clarke is very good in this episode-as is Garfield Morgan.A bit of history there between the two,nicely played.
