I noticed that Stella's flat was the one used as Fran's flat in “The Placer". When Carter comes in to arrest Wardle you can see "J" on the door and then I spotted the red interior. Don't know how many times I've watched this episode, can't believe I never spotted it before

Just bumping this one up, did we ever find out the locations of where a couple of scenes were filmed? I.e the pedestrian crossing where Jacko is dropped off by Wardle in the Marina, and also where Jacko goes for his last boat ride with Charley Smith?
I still remember the kid on the bike doing a "Look, no hands" at the camera as he dissappears out of shot!

Just poised to rewatch this one
All I can remember about it is Warren Mitchell playing a very un-Alf Garnett type character who is being squeezed by the gang.
That, and the country club, where vilainous blokes in Speedos play with blow up beach balls by a swimming pool.
Looking forward to watching it again.

Just finished
I was interested to note that this is the only other episode (along with Stoppo Driver) written by Allan Prior
It's got a lot to enjoy although, as always, there are a few implausible elements, not least how one multi storey car park takes enough money for the cashier to skim off thousands of pounds every week.
I loved the country club and the scenes filmed at the horse racing. Peter Glaze as the bookie was an unexpected bonus too.
Warren Mitchell is very convincing as the mug.
And, of course, some good antagonism between Haskins and Regan - it's curious how their relationship changes from series to series, and even from episode to episode.
Was Regan the original British cop who didn't do things by the book?
All in all a very solid episode though with lots to enjoy.

It's always worth watching this episode just to look at a couple of gorgeous Sweeney babes... Sally Knyvette (Wardle's assistant, Angela) Catherine Schell (High-class scrubber, Stella) Vi

He does pop up in quite a few things. I think i saw him in a carry on the other day. Not sure which one as i've watched a few lately. I think its Carry On Doctor. I saw him in Carry on Camping recently, he played the coach driver who informed Barbara Windsor that he goes all the way Was John Thaw in Carry On Jack !!
