Yes I’ve seen John Forgeham in several tough roles, he had the face for it, sad loss. i watched this episode earlier today and thought it was a middling one. I couldn’t get used to Jack with a tache driving a lorry, incidentally, a Bedford TK in the first scenes, and an Austin in the hijack. Overall, I think series 2/3 are my favourites, the dynamics of the squad, the relationship between the leads had developed and the programme was at its best by then. I agree the tash gave Jack a completely different look and not in a good way I do really rate the episode though. That said, the ending is a little far fetched. Would a policeman then have shot to kill with a borrowed gun? Especially as it seemed a little unnecessary in the circumstances. Surely in real life there would have been a suspension and significant investigation afterwards. Little things like that do sometimes undermine my enjoyment.

That was the old Egham Gasworks in Staines. Typical Sweeney type location Gene. I knew you’d know, Guv, and without even looking it up! Great intel Gene - and it was a brilliant location for the finale
