Amazingly, 4:3tv was 7 years old yesterday! By way of a small celebration, there is now a new forum theme available called '7 Years of 43tv' which has a completely new colour scheme and is presented in a widescreen view compared to previous themes. Feel free to try it out. (Established Members Only) Simply go to "Profile" at the top of the page and click on "Edit Profile" Then click on the "Settings" tab and scroll down to where you see "Forum Theme". Select the theme you want to change to (in this case '7 Years Of 43tv' and then click on the SAVE button that opens up. Click 'OK' You will then get one final popup to save your profile settings - Click on 'Save' and then you are done! Gene. If anyone does try the new theme then feedback is welcome. Doesn't mean I'll change anything in it, but it is welcome Gene.

Amazing! Many thanks to Gene and all of admin as ever, for the immense work and quality maintenance as well quality content on this forum, together with the input from the membership. It is all appreciated from each and every one of you!
It all adds up to a great experience and source of information on TV and film, and many other topics from the old days, and a fond lookback to the past.
With the diverse content there is something for everyone and long may it continue!

I can't believe how fast 7 years has gone. The forum really has gone from strength to strength and as mentioned earlier it is down to the quality of membership rather than the quantity. Not forgetting the massive amount of work put in by Gene Hunt and the other admins; a huge thanks to you all Thanks also to all of the members who post on here ... there is an absolute wealth of knowledge between you all!!! It's great that it can be viewed in 4D, each time we meet up Thanks to you, the mods and all who sail in her The stats are very informative, I'd be interested to know what themes everyone uses as their background. I use the GH A2A Stars one.

My only regret is that I didn't discover the forum 7 years ago. I haven't even put a full year in, yet I've met so many friendly people with shared interests. Their combined knowledge has answered many of the questions I have sought answers for for years and I have noticed everyone has something to give. In 26 years or so of browsing the Net, this is the friendliest forum I have come across. Thanks to all those who make it happen and here's to the next 7 years. Great post Nightfly! and ya said it in one! It is the friendliest forum and everyone as something to offer! why don’t ya try and get to a Retro meet sometime! be good to see ya.. GC

Amazing to think it is now 7 years since 4:3tv started out - and what a fantastic forum it is too! You couldn't really get a friendlier one IMO, with fantastic threads and posts. Thanks again to Gene for all his hard work on here and behind the scenes. Thanks also to the moderators and all contributing members for their efforts over the past seven years. Hopefully it will continue to grow for many more years Well done everybody! Cheers Vi

Seven years, amazing! We had great hopes for this forum when we first started and as the years have flown by both the members and the post content have exceeded all our expectations. It is also good to note that whatever other crap we have to deal with in our lives, and we all have those peaks and troughs, that we have this corner of the 'net that we can immerse ourselves into safe in the knowledge that we are conversing with like-minded souls albeit from many differing walks of life. Given the huge selection of TV programs, films, music, cars as well as so many off-topic subjects it is certainly the easiest forum for anyone to be able to contribute, and how many other forums can boast to have the meets as we do? With thanks all round to all contributing members and a raise of the glass to Gene, Saint and Del-Boy, here's to the long and continued success for 4:3TV - The Retro Channel Sam.
