Without derailing the Night Out thread, I agree entirely with Cartman. I love Visiting Fireman.
I do like Night Out too. It's not one of my favourites. I tend to like more location based episodes, but Night Out is by no means the worst. It's certainly given those who attend the Meets many a happy memory when we visit The Warrington every few years.

I’ve now read back though previous comments. That mirror cut was quite noticeable - even the first time around. Makes me wonder what happened that meant that they couldn’t just re do it all? Unless they only had one mirror :p
I certainly didn’t think it was awful. So if that’s the worst it gets in series 1, that’s pretty good going!

Thanks Del, I had fun looking through that. Looks like you all had a great time ... even (or should that be especially?) when you were beating each other up in bars ... men!

That is a nice little find Arthur I'd like to find a report on the robbery that inspired it

Aah I am aware of this story but didn't think night out was drawn from it too. I'd recommend The Bank Job. It's a good story as we know and it's not bad for a modern film depicting the 70s.
Thanks for getting the link Arthur I'm going to have a read of that.

That's a great story. Bits of Night Out and the Bank Job can be traced from this story but I guess we'll never know the truth until those files are opened in the future.
