Yes, they just didn't give a toss. I would have loved to know what was going through his mind when he had to be on that show and miming. As for all those rave tracks you mentioned, bring it on! I loved late 80s/early 90s rave/techno/trance and I have a particular thing for 'piano house'.

I loved late 80s/early 90s rave/techno/trance and I have a particular thing for 'piano house'. I'm your man on that side of things. I've been heavily into House and Dance music since '86 and hearing some of that stuff here/there along with the likes of New Order/Factory Records and some Electro stuff from arond that time got me hooked and began my journey into that world. Then Acid came along around 87-ish and the rest was history. I was only a kid at the time so never really got to appreciate the clubbing, Rave and lets say ecstasy side of things of that period perhaps that wasn't a bad thing to be honest. Still over the years got to appreciate all kinds of music and the good is good the bad, bad and I know I've gushed on here about 6 Music but that mixed up vibe appeals to me these days. Hope you like this pianno track, very' 90's! Yep I know...

I was only turning 11 in 1990 so I was never an adult when the rave scene hit either and I am glad of that because I am all about the music but not necessarily the rest of the 'scent' culture that goes with it, and defo not into anything they were into, I don't even drink, but if you like the music, as I did then, and even though I never heard any of the underground stuff until it went mainstream, it didn't matter. You were still hearing something that you liked and something you instantly loved so whether you heard it on radio or tv or in the 'cool' way doesn't matter to me, hearing it is what counts.

DE is your go to man for this era, he is incredibly well informed on music at that time, in contrast to me, my knowledge of late 80s/early 90s stuff fits onto the back of a postage stamp! The late 70s, on the other hand, I can bore you all day about I think that musical knowledge and being a fan of any particular artist etc is a bit age related, I was 11 in 1971, so that probably explains my 70s interest, although I do like some stuff from the late 90s/early 2000s a bit too
