A great cause Sam and glad you're able to give the Suzuki a ride with this worthy event too. After spending a bit of time recently with family can understand and appreciate this and every little thing makes a difference too. All the best for a great day DE.

Thanks Dirty, and thank you for your generous donation too. Although I'm still a way off of the initial £1000 target I have moved further up the ranks to be 23rd out of 2847 riders registered for the event in England and the donations received from so many generous members of this forum have made a huge difference. With ten days to go until the ride itself I will aim to do more fundraising outside of the forum but for those that still wish to donate please do so direct to the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride website via the following link: gfolk.me/AlecEdge286386Your donations will go to the Movember Foundation: Thanks again, Sam.

With just a few days to go the donations have gradually crept up although the £1000 target still remains elusive having reached £668 so far. On a positive note though my total exceeds the total raised by all other riders combined for the Isle Of Wight ride, but I've slipped down the standings for England and am currently in 30th position out of 3179 riders booked for the rides across England. The bike is in fine fettle now so I took it for its first run since some light restoration work. The brake pads need scrubbing in a bit but otherwise all was okay so when parked up I indulged in a few pictures, one of which below: As mentioned above there is still a few days to go so for those that still wish to donate please do so direct to the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride website via the following link: gfolk.me/AlecEdge286386All donations will be greatly appreciated and will count towards all totals raised to aid the Movember Foundation in its prostate cancer research and treatment programs, as well as its funding towards innovative mental health programs. Thanks for all your generous donations received this far. Sam.

Donation sent.. what a worthy cause! Cancer is just evil, and unfortunately most people will succumb to it, if one is fortunate to live long enough! All the best Sam!!
