Thank god they didn't go with those rear lights. LOL 3L they look a bit like the poster for the the film 'The Rats'/'Deadly Eyes'! Yes a very nice find Gene I think the 'Tina's designer changed these lights at the last minute to a upturned Mercedes Benz star design a bit of licence there but it worked!

Ford Granada prototype. Trying to emulate the wonderful shark fronted 6 series BWM - and failing miserably. Seen here wearing both typical Granada wheels. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cqlj3uno0Qi Gene.

Oh dear oh dear, that Granada Coupe looks like a cross between an old 6 series and an Opel Kadett, I can see why they never went ahead with it.
Both sets of wheels look okay but you can be sure that if someone got hold of that motor today there'd be some totally unsuitable 5-spoke 17" or 18" alloys and chrome wheel arch trims.
Sam.

Some lovely Italian car ads there Villain and yes the Cortina MK1 looked so much better with the production tail lights - it's most distinctive feature! Cheers Gene!
As for the Granada coupe replacement prototype, no it doesn't come off well I agree but interesting nonetheless. I have 2 Ford history books in my collection with pictures of the Cortina mock up in one book and a more recent book that was published in 2021 has the Granada pics. A very interesting read they are too. If you're interested, look out for Secret Fords and Secret Fords volume 2, I'm sure a few copies are available still.
