This could be an interesting one for LOM fans featuring Stopford House as it is today. The creator posts Radio Ham related videos and was invited by Stockport Council to visit the infamous roof to film before an aerial is removed.
Some nice shots of the roof and it's views of the city, drone footage and a few stills inside the building. Some of present day photos still look like 1973 - those funky orange chairs !
An interesting few minutes of footage while the creator talks phased 4 stack UHF folded dipole arrays... whatever they are.

A few years ago, I started to rediscover the early to mid 70s pub rock scene based mainly around Essex - Dr Feelgood etc. The Southend band The Kursaal Flyers were the subject of a documentary aired in 1976 just before they had the one hit wonder "Little Does She Know", a song untypical of their usual set.
This programme, shot mainly in black and white so the crew could blend in with the guys behind the scenes without using lights, covers their tour of Scotland, the realities of life on the road, cheap hotels, takeaways in the dressing room washed down with a can of Colt 45 etc. A nice little time capsule.
Although they split a couple of years later, most still carried on with careers in the business. The drummer became a music journalist and the lead singer is still performing.

I found this I interview with actor Michael Jayston really entertaining. The little tidbits he drops about other actor I also found very interesting. It maybe a bit too long to watch in one sitting though, and too long to watch on a Phone or tablet but great to watch on a smart tv. I think most people have one of them now though. Towards the end he speaks his mind about P.C. quotas today in acting and tv adverts. He comes over as a great guy to have a pint with.
Michael Jayston is the only actor I've ever wrote to many years ago when I was in my early twenties. He wrote back to me enclosing a signed photo. I wish now I'd wrote to a few other actors over the years.

Thanks Gene for that! Absolutely superb to watch and the colours look like the film has all been restored too. Looks around 1965 or 66 I'd say. Cool to see the Mod going past on his scooter and wearing his big green coat!
