On the behalf of the Met Flying Squad, Myself and my Guv'nor and Skipper and squad would like to wish you a Merry Christmas to all the admin, based at Manchester CID and in early 80's London, all the membership, big and small posters, whether you're in Bristol, Tyneside, Hammersmith, Peckham and elsewhere in the Smoke, or everywhere else, drive carefully, enjoy your drink, whether booze or other nice liquid, (but no booze AND driving remember or "traffic" won't be happy.....), whether down the boozer, or at your gaff, and good nosh, friends, family, going out or staying in etc.
One more day on duty tomorrow and then I'm off till New Year. Cheers! Gerry

Yes that time of year is upon us once again, thank you Three Litre for starting this thread. It is been a bumper year again for all of us here on 4:3TV- The Retro Channel with two excellent meets based around two classic 70s comedies, some superb posts and contributions from many core members, and of course the massive task of defining each and every filming location for every episode of The Sweeney and Life On Mars completed by Gene. Gene is over in USA over Christmas as he's heard word of a stateside cop called Jim Dempsey that may be able to help the Met Police at some stage. He will be dropping back in to the forum as time allows and may not directly respond to this thread straight away. On behalf of myself and Gene I'd like to thank our moderators Del-Boy and The Saint for their work behind the scenes and to thank all members for your contributions with so many interesting posts that make 4:3TV - The Retro Channel the wonderful corner of the Worldwide T'interweb that we all enjoy today. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all, wishing you all a happy, prosperous, and above all healthy 2020. Sam and Gene
