Sad news today, multi talented singer, songwriter, actor entertainer Kenny Lynch OBE has passed away. Kenny is a famous face and known to many people due to all his work in the many fields listed above. To me he's part of the Sweeney family and most of all I love The Small Faces hit he wrote, Sha La Lee. Not bad for a lad born in Stepney East London.
RIP Kenny Lynch

RIP Kenny indeed Del, obviously remember him from The Sweeney and things like The Kenny Everett Television Show, Celebrity Squares etc. but there were many other things and talents he had too.
His Bullseye appearance may be coming up on the Monday-Friday night repeats on Challenge at the moment and again thanks for your contributions to entertainment Kenny.

Very sad news
Such a popular entertainer, adaptable to so many fields of entertainment and a person that appeared in so many light entertainment productions throughout the 70s and 80s. I can also remember buying Annie the 12" single of his "Half a Day's Gone And We Haven't Earned A Penny" which has to be said was a pretty decent tune.
As well as those mentioned by DE above I remember him presenting alongside Barry Sheene in "Just Amazing". Some of their exchanges were badly scripted banter but endearing all the same.
R.I.P. Kenny

RIP Kenny, sad news indeed, as others have said a very talented entertainer who could turn his hand at a lot of things, whether singing, acting, presenting, comedy, he always did a professional job and a likeable chap too as a family entertainer. I remember Just Amazing well too.
I got a free DVD from a copy of the Mail on Sunday over 10 years ago (I was given it by someone who bought the paper......) of what was probably his final film, (and digressing for a second, I think Gareth Hunts too). The 2007 film Riddle, where Kenny played a London gangster Shotgun Ronnie White, I thought he outshone the lead; Vinny Jones as a sport journalist. Film went straight to DVD.
