Very sad news. I used to enjoy his 80's TV shows which were such fun. He had a real dry wit, intellect, and a wry smile to match. RIP Clive.

Yes, I liked Clive James too, remember his programmes about TV around the world, which featured an insane Japanese game show where people got bugs and other repellent life forms tipped over them. At the time we thought it was mad, but I'm a celebrity get me out of here follows the same format. RIP Clive

RIP Clive really enjoyed his programmes over the years and shame he had poor health in recent years too. Thanks for your contribution to TV and journalism over the years Clive.

I too always enjoyed his show on a Sunday evening. It always seemed a less formal affair than other chat type shows around. TV was better in this era and Clive's contribution was enjoyable. RIP Clive
