I went to the cinema last night for the first time in quite a few years and was pretty impressed, dead comfy seating and tons of leg room. Seats that tip well back so you can practically lay down if you want to, and a space in the arm rest to put your drink in ( My son and I got a few bottles of Peroni bit pricey at £3.80 but I suppose that's to be expected these days.)
The film we watched was 'Joker' and it was as good as I'd hoped it would be. I might not leave it so long going to the flicks again. It's just getting a decent film to watch these days. Joker had an intelligent story to it. Wish there were more like it.

I think the last time I went to the cinema was 18 years ago.

I went to see the Joker movie and was surprised at how good it was for a modern day film. Joaquin Phoenix was superb in it. I went back a week later to see the new Terminator movie as Linda Hamilton is back in it alongside Arny. That wasn't so good due to it being forcibly PC for the sake of it. I won't give a spoiler here in case anyone is planning to see it. It has a big shift in what went before is all I will say. That was its big mistake which is a shame because there's a lot to like about the movie.

The prices have gone up a bit since then Arthur, but I was fairly happy paying £9.95. It's when some people take their families that the cost mounts up. People today usually take their kids to places like Mcdonalds afterwards, and it ends up costing a bomb. Its not very often a film comes out these days that's worth going to the cinema for anyway Arthur.

As you say though the P C. Stuff puts you off a lot of modern films. If there's too much of it I just stop watching the film part way in. The thing about going to the cinema though is there's no interruptions and you can't beat the big screen for enjoyment if the film is a good one. I also like the fact that you can have a little drink in there now too, and take it through to the seating area.

I had a look at a list of films released in 2001 to see if I could find which one I saw Del, none rang any bells
