The sad thing is when band members fall out and invariably split or the other party continues things are never the same. If you’re a fan of these bands you either think if they could only stop being stupid and get on again they might have a good album or songs left in them and in (not all) but the majority of cases either the solo/side projects or what’s left of the band carrying on put’s out stuff at best isn’t as good as what they’ve done before or at worst is absolute rubbish.
Even worse is the reunion gig/album when the members are still pretty much at each others throats and through gritted teeth try and pretend they’re all best mates now and things have never been better for them. A few small occasions this is true but for the most time the only reason for a reform is for money and a short while later a disgruntled member of the band will pretty much say that and that they never got along with the other member or members of the band. Sadly as fans of a band you jump at the chance of seeing the full line up when that happens knowing full well…
Sadly some people could be childhood friends and been close friends in bands for years and then something happens which turns things nasty and for some reason it all becomes poisonous and there's no way back for them... even if they truly admit how stupid falling out actually is they'll never lose face or back down to patch things up! Don’t really like or hate them but they’ve done things I have sort of liked but I respect REM for the decision they all made a few years back when they thought they’d achieved all they could as a group and called things a day amicably and (so far) haven’t felt the urge to go back on that decision. If they stick to it fair play to them.
I know!

The Beatles had the good grace to split up (officially) in April 1970 but unbeknownst to most of their fans each member had walked out once and came back, for various reasons. Ringo was the first in August '68 in the middle of the While Album sessions, when he returned about two weeks later (after a long holiday in Sardinia) he found his drum kit festooned with flowers at Abbey Road. George was next in early '69, taking refuge in Eric Clapton's back garden where they worked on George's new song 'Something' together. John was next, in September '69, quietly telling George and Ringo ''by the way I'm leaving'' at an Apple Corp meeting at their Saville Row HQ. Paul was elsewhere that day and the last time all four were together in the same place was 22nd August at John's new country pile at Tittenhurst in Berkshire, their last photo session ever. Things were continually boiling over behind the scenes until Paul had had enough and decided to call John's bluff by announcing his departure in April '70. Sad, but fascinating all the same. Villain

Careful Arthur, you wouldn't like him when he's angry.
Loved the Incredible Hulk.
Though, I'd much rather Linda Carter ripping her clothes off in a fit of rage.... The titles kind of reminded me of Grange Hill. Possibly the comic book style thing.

Villain It was a great pity John passed away early, I've often thought they would have made a great surprise act at Live Aid. The crowd would have gone potty if they were effectively misled and thought they were going to be watching The Merseybeats for example.

They were regularly offered huge amounts of money to reform but always resisted, although they did play on each other's solo work occasionally, except John as far as I'm aware. The last time John and Paul met was in '74 when Macca turned up at the Dakota building unannounced, guitar in hand, John wasn't best pleased apparently but there are a couple of photos of them chatting together that day. I really like the Band of Brothers theme music, vintage 2001 I think.
Great show as well.

I really like the Band of Brothers theme music, vintage 2001 I think. Great show as well. There's very few TV Theme tunes of recent times that I think are any good.
They certainly won't be as long lasting/familiar as something such as Grandstand or Grange Hill.
I think something like "The Chase" may just count, and perhaps to the themes used for the ITV news - which is a variation of the original ITN News at 10 theme anyway.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of much else!
