Was anyone else a fan of this great Grange Hill spin off? This followed the life and times of Tucker, Alan and Tommy in the years after they left GH and tried to make it in the big wide world. Lots of tussles with Passmore and scams to make a few quid without doing much work. I loved it and tuned in religiously every week. It ran for 3 series and there were a few books and annuals to go with It, which I have. I have a rough ripped DVD of it too but the quality is not great. I loved GH but I think this just edged it for me and who didn't want to be Tucker eh?

I watched it at the time it was first shown and remember it as being a really good series Steed

It was good as they were growing up at the same time as we were.

Never saw any of this, or Grange Hill either. Assume it was after my time of watching kids stuff. I started at secondary school in September 71,and didn't get home until about 5 ish which after the kids programmes had ended so anything on in the kids viewing slot after 71, is unknown to me. 😞

I remember it well BG but it has been donkeys years since I saw any of it. I did mention this to George Armstrong (who played Alan Humphries) when I attended the Grange Hill 40 event last year. George is a really nice chap but sad to say he is battling the dreaded bug. I have wished him well.

That's very sad news to hear. I hope he gets through it ok. Life is incredibly unfair sometimes.

Sorry to read that about George. Also sad to read that Peter McNamara who played Passmore died last year.
I did watch 'Tucker's Luck' regularly. I was 12 when it began, probably a bit too young to be watching it. Anyone else find Tucker a bit cocky? A bit like Boxer in 'Murphy's Mob'.
Like a lot of people I didn't enjoy school much so I have mixed feelings about shows I would've watched at the time. Tucker's Luck is on yt, I did watch episode 1 quite a while ago, I'll give it another go.

Arthur I didn't know that Peter McNamara had passed away. That's very sad too.

I’ve never seen this or rather don’t recall seeing it. I did like Grange Hill but as Arthur has said, I didn’t enjoy school all that much either.
I never thought to look on YouTube but will have a look for it. I did like the character of Tucker.

Both Grange Hill and Tuckers Luck were firm favourites, although I was in my 20s by the time TL hit the screens
I can still remember whole sections of dialogue from the earlier episodes of GH despite never having seen them since it was on telly.
I was more Tricia Yates than Zammo - not even sure I watched all the later episodes of GH
