On the radio they said he had been machine gunned during reporting in Biafra.

Peter was one of my favourites newsreaders. I liked his distinctive style. RIP The quality of the voice makes a huge difference in wanting to listen to people. I like the The World at War because Laurence Olivier is good too listen to.
