Just looking at the membership, I reckon 14 people have contributed 80% of the posts.
I just counted everyone over 1000 posts.
As someone wrote, quality not quantity!

I can name a dozen forum(s) that have a post count in excess of 1 million but you can count the number of informative or interesting posts is probably 1% of that figure. Someone asked me recently why my post count was so high as it didn't quite add up with posts they can see on the forum. The reason is that there is a "business" section for Admin and Moderators only that general members can't see. A lot of development chat is contained in those threads between myself and Sam and also with Del & The Saint. This adds considerably to all 4 of our post counts. I'm sure Sam will fully agree when I say that we are absolutely delighted with how things have gone since we opened 4½ years ago. It's exactly how we wanted things to go but on a greater scale. Long may it continue. Gene.

Gene and Sam develop the technical side of the forum on the other side. The meet planning also takes a lot of work over there before it hits the streets.
I'm more than happy with the great nature of this place. The members on here are a quality bunch. They have contributed loads of fantastic stuff. I love it when suggestions for plays, film, tv and music come to light on here. Also the in depth knowledge on stuff always makes a good read. There has been good stuff to explore.

Yes, I like the steer to the other stuff to watch as well, I'd never find it otherwise.

When Gene and I first discussed the forum we agreed from the outset on how we wanted it to be managed, to run, and how it would develop. We, along with others on here, had many criticisms of a previous forum and how it was run so we were determined not to fall into the same trap. Thankfully it has paid off and we've now got a forum that is better natured than any could ever hope to be and the quality of contributing members are indicative of the success. Indeed, long may it continue. Sam.

Well, if we were following the current trend for political parties or other groupings we'd be chucking out anybody who had the slightest disagreement with the management and calling them traitors. Since when did one person know everything and was right all the time and therefore couldn't tolerate disagreement. Excluding my mum. Nice forum boys. Oh, that's probably sexist.
