How about this one on the Chevy Bel-Air: Not the sort of ornament you'd step out in front of. Sam

Wow the one on the Bel Air is beautiful. Do agree with earlier comment that these are lethal to pedestrians. Shame though as they look great. Mercedes bonnet insignia are spring loaded and flatten whichever way they are pushed so it proves manufacturers can achieve the look with safety built in. At the car show yesterday Saint spotted a load for sale from one of the vendors. Didn't get a snap unfortunately. There was a trend in recent times of people fitting eBay leapers to modern Jaguars. Never looked good IMO.

I went to the Motorclassica on the weekend, my favourite car show. I will post the pics on a thread when I have sorted them all but here are some bonnet close ups.

I smudged this cool hood ornament at Pershore Plum Festival Classic Car show this year.. It was sitting on a 1935 Rolls Royce - the owner had it commissioned (and had a few different ornaments too) It looks like a sea Spitfire, really cool detail
