I have a few of John Betjeman's programmes which I recorded and haven't watched yet. John was a great Englishman.I wish he could have saved Euston though. I detest the place and like to spend as little time as possible in the place. The only other London Raiilway Station I've been in is Waterloo, which is a lot better than Euston. I must visit St. Pancreas sometime, and have a look at John's statue.
By the way that bit about sixties Transport Minister Ernest Marples possibly being involved in masked parties with upper class V.I.P.s in attendance and hankie pankie going on, reminded me of Stanley Kubrik's last film 'Eyes Wide Shut.' I haven't seen it yet, but I can get hold of a copy so I'll probably watch it soon.
Charles.
