Found some photos in the collection - mainly from ATV or Central shows; however - at the time, they were quite well known and highly rated shows.
You don't hear much about them these days....
"Kennedy" - from 1984; with Martin Sheen & Blair Brown. Shot by 'Central Films' (the Central TV equivalent of Euston Films)
Shine on Harvey Moon - from 1982. With Maggie Steed and Kenneth Graham.
Detective Dangerous Davies, from 1976 (I think). Starring Bernard Cribbins (C), and Bill Maynard (R). Anyone recognise the face on the extreme RH side in the grey suit - I am sure he was a non-speaking extra on Regans team in many Sweeney episodes, and even as a passenger in "On the Buses" film.
The Cedar Tree from 1977. Shot at ATV Elstree.
Clayhanger (1978/1979) This set was the last set built on the backlot at Elstree, before it became a German Building site for "Auf Pet".
I Claudius (or I Clavdivs as it was known at the BBC) from 1976.
Upstairs Downstairs, on location in 1971. Anorak time - most of "Upstairs Downstairs" was shot inside LWT studios to 2" tape. Here - the location shoot is also video - one of the first colour portable video cameras. It's connected to a tape machine located in an OB type truck

A few in there I remember. Mum liked The Cedar Tree, Upstairs Downstairs and Clay hanger, adapted from one of Arnold Bennetts novels. I thought Dangerous Davies was ok and Harvey Moon. Another series of that was done in about 1995 from memory. Just thought of another one, The Pallisers.

Top picture there Sparky!
I was only thinking about that Kennedy program the other day when I saw Sheen in a film, The Final Countdown recently.
He was a good likeness for the man.
A remarkable event that assassination, people often forget Oswald killed two people that day, officer Tippit who stopped Oswald to speak to him after the assassination. Which rather makes a mess of all the bizarre theories he didn't do it.

I mentioned The Cedar Tree in my earlier post about adult programmes you might have inadverdently watched from your childhood. My mum watched it too, and was usually on about lunchtime daytime so saw episodes in the school holidays. Seemed like it was entirely set based, I don't remember any location shooting. Remember Cyril Luckham being in it, who was the Judge in The Professionals episode "The Rack" and was in a Randall and Hopkirk Deceased episode, and was a Jackanory storyteller.
Just looked up Dangerous Davies, also in that was Joss Ackland as a Chief Inspector and "M" from James Bond films, Bernard Lee who I think can be seen standing behind Cribbins. Although demoted to a Police uniform Sergeant (!) it was apparently his last role before his death in 1981.

He's one of those extras who did a heck of a lot of work - and perhaps a face better recognised than some of the stars. Is Mike still with us?

Will have a dig around and see if I can come up with some more photos.
"Kennedy" won numerous awards; Bafta's and I think the Golden Rose of Montreux. You don't seem to hear much about it.
The Cedar Tree, I can vaguely remember.
Dangerous Davies - I had to read the press pack to learn about that!! There is a photo that includes Joss Ackland too.
Clayhanger was a massive project for ATV; I have a glossy booklet with photos of the set and it's construction - where they built an entire Potteries town on the backlot at Elstree - quite unusual at the time for a few episodes ofTV series; this kind of thing usually only restricted to big budget feature films. Or in television - long running Soap.
Mind you, it was ATV, and Lew Grade didn't work cheap!!

I think Peter Davison took on the role of Dangerous Davies as well.

I believe Mike passed away a few years ago now Sparky. He was working up until 1999 though (please ignore his IMDB entry as it is woefully short of the mark.) Gene.
