Top work Gene. Look forward to seeing the cemetery used in the film and the bonus locations are always a welcome treat. Now where's my dobbin costume ? I need to adapt it to look like Hercules. Oh no, I think Sam might find a picture of a horse with my boat on it or something

Gene, work looks like it won’t be able to scupper my social diary two Octobers running so please count me in for this overdue reflective knees-up. Thanks.

That's an impressive itinerary you've put together Gene on what looks like a deep dive into everything Steptoe & Son It's new ground for a 4:3 tv Meet, but a familiar recipe for a successful day. Something very much to look forward to.

What a great itinerary. 'Steptoe And Son Ride Again.' has some of the funniest scenes I've ever seen in a film in my opinion. The bit were Harold is leaping over the gravestones in the cemetery, while wrapped in bandages, trying stop Albert being buried alive is absolutely hilarious for me.
It's going to be a great meet.
Charles.

12 WEEKS TO GO
Now we've reached the 12 week countdown, it's a good time to be booking trains & accommodation if you are making a weekend of it. A reminder if the itinerary...
As with the previous London Revisited Meet last year, we will be travelling to the area via tube. From then on the entire Meet will be conducted on foot. At the end of the Meet, we will return to the tube station and travel back to Hammersmith. All those attending will require either a day travel card, an Oyster card or you can tap in using your bank card. Tap in on the reader on the gate and tap out on the reader on the gate using the same contactless bank card and you will be charged the cheapest fare as you would get with an Oyster card. (This method can also be used on any combination journey in the TFL London area on DLR, Tramlink ,Buses, Tube, Overground, and most national rail services inside zone 6) (Thanks to Del for this info) Those who want to join me & Sam for breakfast in Hammersmith should be at The William Morris (Wetherspoons) in King St for 8am. PART 1.MEET AT COLET GARDENS AT 9AM to 9.30AM. COMMENCE WALK TO TUBE AT 10AM SHARP We will head off on foot to Hammersmith Underground Station. From here we'll get the Circle Line train to LATIMER ROAD STATION which is just a short 5 minute journey by tube. If anyone does NOT want to travel via tube, it is a 15 minute drive to LATIMER ROAD STATION which is in BRAMLEY ROAD W10. IF YOU ARE DRIVING THERE YOU WILL NEED TO RESEARCH PARKING YOURSELF IN THAT AREA. THE MEET PROPER WILL COMMENCE AT 10.30am SHARP from LATIMER ROAD STATION on BRAMLEY ROAD.
The locations listed below are the main feature locations of the day. I will however be pointing out more bonus locations during the day than at any previous Meet so it really will be a real location extravaganza!- Harold en route to his Wedding. This is where Harold's Limousine almost crashes into Zita's Limousine.
While here, we will also see a small cluster of bonus locations (to be announced on the day).
There is a pleasant 25 minute walk from this point to the next location
- Harold falls asleep on the cart.
- Harold drives the horse & cart into a Pickford's van.
- Harold on his rounds.
- Albert's Funeral Route.
- Harold is knocked out by van door.
- Albert's Funeral Route.
- Albert's Funeral Route.
- Albert's Funeral Route.
- Albert's Funeral Route.
- Albert's Funeral Route.
We will then take our lunch break at a nearby pub. This should be around 12.30 to 2pm. Part 2.
We will start the second half of the Meet with a short walk to Kensal Green Cemetery. I'll take you on a 1 hour tour of this wonderful 186 year old Cemetery, which will take in various film locations including Steptoe & Son Ride Again plus many more. After leaving the Cemetery, we will one more stop for a 1 hour rest break at a nearby iconic establishment. This will give everyone a final chance to rest before the final leg of the tour. Part 3.
This is the final leg of the Meet. This part will see us work our way back towards our tube station before returning to Hammersmith.
- Oil Drum Lane - The Steptoe's Yard
- Training Hercules II
- Sad Harold out on the rounds pt1
- Sad Harold out on the rounds pt2
- Harold stops at the flats where he meets Arthur the drag act.
- Harold goes into the flats where Arthur the drag act lives (Different location from above)
From here, we will take the 5 minute walk to Westbourne Park Tube Station where we will get the Circle or Hammersmith & City line back to Hammersmith.Once back in Hammersmith, we will walk to a yet to be decided pub nearby for a meal and a few drinks. People are free to do as they wish from this point onwards. So there it is. This Meet follows on nicely from our previous "London Revisited" Meet from 2018. As stated above, we will pass many bonus locations from other productions on the route such as Minder, The Professionals, Villain, Theatre Of Blood, The Sweeney to name a few. Details of these bonus locations will be kept as a surprise until on the day. Any questions? Let me know. I hope you all like the look of what I've put together. I'm sure you'll really enjoy this one! Here is a very small sample of what you're in for (Click to enlarge)
