Mine was Cars by Gary Numan. Still love it, and went backstage when he toured last year. Yay! Cars wasn't the first single I purchased but was amongst my early singles bought. I still have all my 7" vinyl singles and still love this song!

Best way to hear some of the classic vanilla 45s mentioned here is on a jukebox.
Only way to hear as intended with the slight imperfection.
If any members are looking for a different kind of purchase can recommend as a way of bringing old faves back to life.

Who spotted the Dennis Waterman one at the back? I bet The Saint spotted the open shirt/hairy chest combo before anyone.
Were they a job lot BG ?
I can also see Lindisfarne's Run For Home amongst them.
Gene.
