Has anyone else started to watch this new motoring series on Channel 4?
Hosted by Howard Donald (from Take That) and Dario Franchitti (INDY racing) the series pits two teams of three against each other to rebuild a couple of stripped down cars. The cars had been stripped down by Ralph Hosier, a mechanic who has also appeared in Supercar Megabuild and one or two other motoring series. The winning team that rebuilds their car and gets it running first gets to keep their car.
Now I've been a big fan of many motoring and biking programs, both British and American, and will happily binge watch them but this one was the first one ever that I gave up on after less than twenty minutes, what drivel! The presentation was pretty dire, the mechanic Ralph has all the personality of a house-brick, and then there was this 'priest' who did little to dispel the rumours of pervy old men of the cloth by acting like Cosmo Smallpiece over some motoring ephemera.
In my opinion, Wheeler Dealers has gone downhill since Ant Anstead took over from Edd China but I'd rather watch it any day over this offering from Channel Four.
Mind you, in saying that I haven't even bothered watching Tom Ford and Jonny Smith on Lazy Boy Garage from UKTV Play yet!
Sam.

Yeah had it on in the background after the F1 quali on Saturday Sam. Kind of agree with you did seem pretty p*** poor mate everything from the presentation, the stiffts/stuffy/toffee nosed contestants and that vicar with the car brochure fetish... Shane really seen other things with Dario Francitti in and he's been fairly good in them. Definitely not as good as Car SOS!
